It was a monumental night for Henry Winkler. The seasoned actor, who is best known for his role as The Fonz in Happy Days, won his very first Emmy for his role as Gene Cousineau on HBO’s “Barry.” Winkler received a standing ovation when he took the stage to give his acceptance speech. The 72-year-old actor joked with the audience about writing his speech 43-years ago.

Amazon’s series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel won big with a total of eight Emmys including an award for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy (Alex Borstein), best comedy series and best lead actress in a comedy series (Rachel Brosnahan).

Game of Thrones closed out the 2018 Emmy Awards show by winning an award for outstanding drama series.

Aside from all the nominees and winners at the 2018 Emmys, many celebrities dazzled the red (gold) carpet this year from Tiffany Haddish in a beautiful rainbow dress to Jenifer Lewis wearing a Nike themed outfit to give a nod to the company’s decision to make former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick the face of their Just Do It campaign.
