Multiple sources have confirmed to E! News that everyone’s fave Mindy Kaling — you know, creator and star of “The Mindy Project” who maybe never went on a date with Cory Booker — is pregnant with her first child, and I’ve never been this excited for a celebrity before.
A source tells the site that the pregnancy was, ahem, “an unexpected surprise,” but that there won’t be any changes made to production schedules for the 38-year-old’s upcoming projects.
Nobody even really knows who Kaling is dating, but my bets are either on a dude named Benjamin Nugent, who she dated from 2008 to 2012; long-time BFF, one-time BF B.J. Novak; or the aforementioned Cory Booker. One of them or like, a Disney prince made real.
Kaling has been frank before about her desire to have children, telling Yahoo! Style, “I think I’ve decided that unlike everything else in my life, I’m going to be fast and loose about kids. I’m going to not actively plan, but if it happens, it would happen.”
Well, looks like it’s happening all right.
Congratulations to Kaling! Now let’s all get to work in our basement lairs and figure out who, exactly, the father could be.
