A 34-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for the murder of a woman in Bushwick, police said.
Bryan Gonzalez, 34, was arrested outside a bodega after police officers were notified there was a man covered in blood inside.
As Gonzalez left the bodega, he told the officers he killed his girlfriend, ran down Suydam Street, then went back to the bodega and pulled a knife from behind the counter, police said
The cops asked for backup and ordered the suspect to drop the knife. He complied and was arrested immediately.
Police then went to 248 Suydam St. where they found the body of a 33-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the head. They recovered a firearm at the scene.
Gonzalez is beingcharged with murder, possession of a weapon and a controlled substance. He also has a history of arrests with more than 10 priors, some sealed.
Police are withholding the victim’s identity until her family is notified.
