Go back to Tom Brady’s sloppy Tara Reid days, and the guy liked to party. He and Lawyer Milloy were killing it at The Roxy in 2002.
When you’re 23-years-old, you can eat and drink just about anything and get away with it. Fast-forward 17 years and Brady is knocking on the doorstep of 40. He doesn’t eat tomatoes because they “cause inflammation,” so it’s unlikely he’s eating a steak and cheese calzone from Market Basket in 2017.
Brady’s diet is insanely strict as he only eats lean meats like chicken, and that’s only on special occasions. Eighty percent of what Brady eats is fresh vegatables.
That said, once in awhile the Patriots quarterback indulges in a beer or two. Incredibly, Brady can still drink like a champ when the pressure is on. Former Patriots offensive lineman Ross Tucker said in 2014 that Brady once destroyed the Pats’ offensive line in a beer-chugging competition. Keep in mind most of these O-linemen are 320-pound monsters and Brady is a lean 6-foot-4, 225 pounds (and that’s on a day he eats a cherry tomato).
“I was surprised to see Brady take part [in the beer chugging competition],” Tucker said in the Sports on Earth piece. “The rookies looked at the seemingly pretty boy quarterback and laughed. I think I snickered myself. We all should’ve known better. I still have never seen anybody chug a beer faster than Tom Brady. You should’ve seen the way he slammed down his cup. It was like he was spiking the ball after a TD. It was hilarious. It was awesome. It was textbook Brady.”
Brady has a new book out regarding nutrition and his “way of life,” which Metro profiled Thursday.
