By now, if you spend any time on the Internet at all, you are already quite familiar with memes : those images with captions that perfectly express how we’re feeling and/or provide funny commentary on current events. To make Mondays a little more fun, we’ve started a new weekly feature called #METROMEME.
Each week, we invite you to submit your favorite memes and we will pick one to feature on our website. Aside from being famous for the day, you also get a prize. For this week, it’s a $25 gift card. To help kick things off, I am going to share my favorite meme from last week, which was created by Lori Loughlin, the actress who played Becky on ‘Full House.’
If you haven’t been living under a rock the past few days, you are probably aware that Beyonce released a new album called “Lemonade” and that it possibly references Jay Z cheating on her. One of the lyrics reads: “He better call Becky with the good hair.” Soon after the album’s release, the Internet was abuzz with speculation as to the identity of the mysterious Becky.
Amidst the lemonade-flavored frenzy, Lori Loughlin posted this to her Instagram:
