Samsung has announced the faster, sleeker Galaxy Note 5 and the S6 Edge+ during a press event held yesterday in New York City. Both phones boast wider screens and more processing power than the Note 4 and Note 4 Edge without making the actual phone any bigger. These new smartphones will be available in the United States on August 21. Galaxy Note 5
1. Price. The 32 GB version with a two-year AT&T or Sprint contract will set you back $250. The 64 GB version will cost $350 with contract. Expect to pay $750 or $850
2. Better camera. Let’s face it, people love taking pictures with their smartphones more than ever – especially when it comes to taking selfies. With narcissism in mind, Samsung has beefed-up their selfie camera to 5 megapixels. If you shoot video it can be viewed on a 4K HDTV. If you’re into streaming live video on popular aps such as Periscope and Meerkat, you’ll be happy to know the Note 5 has a new feature that allows full HD broadcasting. You can stream directly to YouTube or privately. 3. Better pen. Here’s a neat feature. The Note’s “S Pen” will allow you to write things when the screen is off.
4. Size. The Galaxy Note 5 is six-inches long three inches wide and 0.3 in thick.
5. Battery life. There are no upgrades here but you may want to know the battery in the Note 5 is smaller and is 3000 mAh, compared to its predecessor, the Note 4 at 3220 mAh.

1. Price:The 32 GB version with a two-year AT&T contract will cost $300 A Sprint contract will cost $350.
The 64 GB version will cost $400 with an AT&T contract and $450 for sprint. Expect to pay prices anywhere between $792 and $915 for phones without contracts.
2. Camera.The camera will be the same but have better broadcasting features. The rear (normal shooting) camera is 16 MP and the front camera (selfie cam) is 5 MP. Like the Note 5, there will be enhanced broadcasting features when it comes to streaming video in HD.
3. Color options.There will be four color options: black, white, silver, and gold. In the United States, the black and white will be the only colors available.
4. Screen. The S6 Edge+ features a curved screen on both sides. The Note 4 Edge was curved only on the right side. The S6 Edge+ screen is 5.7 inches and will allow you to program shortcuts that are accessible when the phone is face down.
5. Battery.3000 mAh.Samsung claims the battery will last longer than the Note 4 (2600 mAh), but with all new smartphones you have to limit the amount of apps and features you have running in the background if you want to maximize the life of your battery per charge.
