Will the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles win more than 13 games this season? Will the Cleveland Browns be in danger of once again going winless as they did last year? (God speed, Dawg Pound faithful). Can New York Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley be a legitimate threat for the rushing title in his first NFL season?
These are just some of the intriguing NFL regular season prop bets that will be answered during this upcoming 2018 NFL season. Take a look at our suggestions below:
Most Loses by Any Team?
Over 13.5 Losses -160 (59.6% chance)
Under 13.5 Losses +140
Given the parity of the NFL, there are still those franchises that turn in absolutely hapless seasons. Look away and give the nod to the over. Sorry in advance to whichever team that will be.
Most Wins by Any Team?
Over 13.5 Wins +150 (38.9% chance)
Under 13.5 Wins -170
On the other end of the spectrum, there are teams that dominate. But winning 14 games in this climate might be asking too much. The under.
16-0 Perfect Season by Any Team?
YES +1000 (8.8% chance)
NO -1500
The Patriots went 16-0 in the regular season 11 years ago and several teams have flirted with a perfect season since then. Three years ago, Carolina didn’t lose until Week 16. In 2011, the Packers didn’t lose until Week 15. And in 2009, the Colts didn’t take an “L” until Week 16. So it’s possible.
That said, there aren’t any teams that have dominance written all over them. The Patriots and Eagles have the best odds of 13, 14 or 15 win seasons but New England has its worst roster in years (on paper) and that 5-0 loss to the Browns last week by Philly doesn’t have anyone thinking “perfect” in 2018.
0-16 Perfectly Bad Season by Any Team?
YES +1200 (7.5% chance)
NO -2000
The Browns will win a game this season. Teams that finished in the basement last year will do better, so no.
True Perfect 19-0 Season by Any Team?
YES +2000 (4.7% chance)
NO -4000
Trying to think of a team outside of the Patriots or Eagles … maybe the Rams put it all together? … Nah.
Will a Regular Season Game End in a Tie
YES -220 (65.8% chance)
NO +180
Yes. Nail biters happen every Sunday.
Most Touchdown Passes by a Quarterback
Over/Under 39.5 Touchdowns
Aaron Rodgers is a perennial threat, Russell Wilson got some weapons and oh, there’s still a guy named Tom Brady lurking around. In other words, the over.
Most Interceptions Thrown by a Quarterback
Over/Under 21.5 Touchdowns
For the sake of the fans of whatever team said QB is from … let’s hope an INT total doesn’t get this high. The under.
Most Passing Yards by a Quarterback
Over/Under 5,000 Yards
5,000 might be reaching. That’s a lot of yards. Tom Brady did air it out for 4,577 last year, though. Still, the under.
Most Receiving Touchdowns by a Receiver
Over/Under 14.5 Touchdowns
Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham Jr. and DeAndre Hopkins are spectacular. Look for one of them to reach 15 TDs this season. Over.
Most Receiving Yards by a Receiver
Over/Under 1,600.5 Yards
If one of the aforementioned receivers reaches 15 TDs, it’s likely the yards will come with it. Over.
Most Rushing Touchdowns
Over/Under 14.5 Touchdowns
Dare we say it, but we think Todd Gurley II and/or Saquon Barkley have a chance to hit 15 TDs this season.
Most Rushing Yards by Running Back
Over/Under 1,650.5 Yards
Wouldn’t it be something if Gurley or Barkley rush for 1,650 yards-plus? Dare to be great and slide with the over.
