Sure to attract biters and breathers alike, Walker Stalker Con returns to the Hub at the Westin Boston Waterfront on Aug. 19 and 20.
The two-day event will feature panels and photo ops with “The Walking Dead” characters past and present, exhibitors of all kinds and a “zombie bash” after party that will run into the wee hours of the night. Other stars like Bruce Campbell and Ted Raimi from “Ash vs. Evil Dead” are also joining in on the fun as well as former cast members including Scott Wilson and Michael Cudlitz.
But as numbers keep dwindling down, we decided to compile a list of characters in attendance who haven’t quite yet been zombified. Thankfully, you won’t have to play “eeny, meeny, miny, moe” this time to decide on who to see.
Chandler Riggs, “Carl Grimes”
Get a chance to ask Carl what season eight holds in store for him and Enid romantically. The hard-edged son of Rick Grimes, growing up right in front of the audience’s eyes, will be at the Walker Stalker on both Saturday and Sunday with his fellow castmates. Luckily, Negan won’t be around this time.
Lennie James, “Morgan Jones”
Now in his third season as a full-time character in the show, the pacifist and aikido master Morgan will also be joined by fellow Kingdom member Ezekiel at the convention. Pose with him, and hopefully his iconic staff, at the photo op at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Khary Payton, “Ezekiel”
All hail the king, and his pet tiger Shiva. Here’s a chance to listen to Payton’s feelings on being upgraded to a full guest starring role in the upcoming season eight after being introduced to audiences as the leader of the Kingdom sanctuary. Fingers crossed the giant feline also shows up.
Christian Serratos, “Rosita”
This gutsy, courageous female fighter will appear at the convention alongside her pal Tara Chambler, played by Alanna Masterson. Both of them will be available for photos around noon on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Seth Gilliam, “Gabriel Stokes”
Thankfully, Father Gabriel reminds us that all religious people post-apocalypse aren’t pesky Fundies. His new role as the voice of morality for Rick and company should continue to grow as he becomes a main cast member in season eight. Catch him for a group photo, along with Cooper Andrews (Jerry) and Karl Makinen (Richard), at 3:00 on Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday.
