Adele worried smoking would kill her

Adele is really proud of herself for no longer setting fire to tobacco — and with good reason — but it turns out she was eager to make the change because of some rather extreme fears. “If I’d carried on smoking, I’d probably have died from a smoking-related illness, and I think that’s really bad,” she tells the Mirror. “If I was dying from lung cancer, I would have potentially given it to myself, and that wouldn’t be something I’d be proud of.” I mean, firm but fair.

Also, this whole quitting smoking thing seems to be on her mind, since she won’t shut up about it. Last month, she was in Rolling Stone being all, “I absolutely loved [smoking], but it’s not that f—king cool when I’m dying from a smoking-related illness and my kid is, like, devastated.” We get it, Adele. We get it.
