The SWAT season 2 premiere is almost here and fans are anxiously awaiting the return.
There’s a lot of great TV happening this fall, and CBS is no exception. The network ordered another season of the cop drama along with another action-packed show SEAL Team after its huge success.
CBS executive Kelly Kahl told Deadline: “These exciting new dramas have been sensational additions to our schedule, are striking all the right notes creatively and really connect with our viewers.” Kahl added: “SEAL Team has strengthened our Wednesday lineup – routinely winning its time period with over 10 million viewers and allowing us to build an even more powerful night, while SWAT has improved Thursday’s 10 PM hour by over 2.5 million viewers versus last season.”

After the explosive season 1 finale, the new season is said to “break all the rules.” According to IMDB, the first episode description of SWAT season 2 says: The SWAT team gets into a standoff with human traffickers holding children hostage when an earthquake hits Los Angeles and compromises the take-down.

Criminal Minds hunk Shemar Moore will be returning as Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson. Stephanie Sigman will also be returning as Captain Jessica Cortez, along with Alex Russell as Officer Jim Street. Other cast members likely to be back are Lina Esco as Officer Christina “Chris” Alonso, Kenny Johnson as Officer Dominic Luca, David Lim as Officer Victor Tan. Peter Onorati as Sergeant Jeff Mumford, and Jay Harrington as Sergeant II David “Deacon” Kay.
