Anthony Bourdain and wife of 9 years call it quits

World-renowned chef, bestselling author and star of “Parts Unknown” Anthony Bourdain has split with Ottavia Busia, his wife of nine years. Lucky for Bourdain, the break-up was amicable— we would not want to mess with Busia, an MMA fighter, aka, certifiable bad-ass.

In a statement to Page Six, Busia said Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown” work schedule, which has him traveling all over the world to film his culinary adventures, strained the relationship.

“Because of professional decisions we have both made, my husband and I have been for years in an unconventional relationship. Nothing has changed. We love each other.”

Hmm, is this is another instance of celebrity conscious uncoupling?!

The couple married in 2007 and have a nine year old daughter together. Bourdain has not yet commented on the split.
