The NYPD has made an arrest in the case of a man who allegedly threw a molotov cocktail at two yeshiva students in Midtown last week.

The handmade explosive landed at the feet of the men on West 37th Street, who were not injured. The NYPD initially said they were investigating the incident as a hate crime.

The suspect, identified as Thomas Miles, 53, of Queens, allegedly threw a glass bottle full of flammable liquid and a burning rag, and it landed at the two students’ feet.

The suspect ran down Ninth Avenue as a fire started on the sidewalk.

Thomas Miles, 53, was arrested on charges of attempted murder (three counts), attempted felony assault (nine counts), criminal possession of a weapon (two counts) and reckless endangerment (three counts).
