With the news breaking this week that a second contestant from Season 14 of “The Bachelor,” Lex McAllister, had died from an apparent suicide, it was only a matter of time before that season’s Bachelor, Jake Pavelka, broke his silence on the matter.

“I’m so sad to hear about Alexa. Such a beautiful girl,” he tweets. “My heart breaks for her family. Covering them in prayer during this rough time.” McAllister was rushed to the hospital in Columbus, Ohio, Saturday after ingesting “a lot” of pills and died Tuesday.
In 2013, fellow contestant Gia Allemand died after hanging herself.
