Wednesday night’s Democratic presidential debate has ignited a social media firestorm over the color of Bernie Sanders’ suit.
Debate viewers were steadfastly in different Twitter camps as they debated whether candidate Sanders’ suit was brown or blue, Business Insider has reported. RELATED:The dress is blue and black
Sanders campaign official Mike Casca tried to help the discussion come to a conclusion, but even he tweeted the wrong color in his first attempt, CBS reported.

A consensus seemed to form around the suit being dark brown but appearing navy blue in some lighting, Business Insider added.
The social media frenzy was compared to that surrounding#TheDress, last year’s viral sensation that drew disagreements over whether it was blue and black or white and gold, according to CBS.
