Celebrities are getting pretty vocal about what sickens them these days, but at least in “The Voice” judge Blake Shelton’s case, he insists it was the booze talking. Earlier this week, Shelton indirectly took Seth Rogen and Michael Moore to task for criticizing “American Sniper,” tweeting, “Sickens me to see celebrities or anybody slam the very people who protect their right to talk s—” along with the hashtag “true cowards.”

The thing about that, though, is he might have phrased it differently had he been sober. “Sometimes I probably say things on [Twitter] I shouldn’t say,” he tells E! News. “I had a few drinks and had to go off about a movie I want to see.” You know, Gmail used to offer a “beer goggles” safety step where if it was late at night you had to solve a math problem to prove you were sober enough to send an email so as to prevent embarrassing drunken tirades. Maybe Twitter could introduce something like that.
