Boston College downs BU in OT, wins 2016 Beanpot (photo gallery)

In an absolute classic, No. 3 Boston College edged rival No. 7 Boston University in the 2016 Beanpot hockey tournament championship game, with a 1-0 overtime victory.

Alex Tuch was the hero for the Eagles, scoring 1:57 into the extra session.

BU’s Sean Maguire registered 41 saves in the game while BC netminder Thatcher Demko blocked 30 shots.
