Carrie Underwood isn’t like those other divorcing celebs

In a sea of celebrity divorces, Carrie Underwood is looking to position herself like a calm little island paradise of marital stability. Because sure! In case you weren’t paying attention, the “American Idol” champ has been married for five years to hockey player Mike Fisher, and she insists they’re doing just fine. Seriously, just fine, everybody.

“Everyone is getting divorced. They’re dropping like flies,” she tells Cosmopolitan magazine during an interview. “We are good. It helped that we were both established before we were married. Neither one of us could be like, ‘I didn’t know it would be like this!'” Sure, fine. But isn’t it a little suspicious that she’s even bringing this up at all? Should we be reading into it? Obviously we should.
