There is never a wrong time to wear an ugly sweater during the Christmas season, but one day a year is set aside to celebrate the tradition.
National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day started in 2011, according to NationalDayCalendar.com, and is marked on the third Friday of every December. A few years later, in 2014, it become more than a fun event, and through the Save the Children “Make the World Better with a Sweater” campaign encouraged online donations.
