Omarosa Manigault Newman is set to come to Temple University in Philly next week. The Apprentice alum will sit down with Temple professor Bryan Monroe and discuss her newly released book Unhinged. The free event will be at Annenberg Hall at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, and is solely for Temple students.

Unhinged debuted at the top of the non-fiction list of the New York Times Best Sellers. The tell-all book details her experience at the White House and criticizes “racist” President Donald Trump and his administration.
Manigault Newman received a lot of publicity after she revealed she had secretly taped White House chief of staff John Kelly as he fired her in the Situation Room. It was reported soon after that security precautions in the West Wing were re-vamped after the breach of security including not allowing White House staffers the option to leave their phones in lockers in the small entry area outside the Situation Room. Two senior administration officials told CNN they believed it was in direct response to the news that Omarosa Manigault Newman had taped Kelly.
But that’s not all; Kelly was not the only White House employee that she taped. Newman reportedly recorded more than 200 secret tapes of meetings between staffers. She released the first of those recordings last month sending Trumps administration into a frenzy. The recordings have been called “one of the worst security breaches” in U.S. history, according to Business Insider.
Newman initially worked with Trump on his show The Apprentice and was hired to work at the White House in January last year. Less than a year later she resigned and earlier this year she announced she wouldn’t be voting for Trump again. Soon after that Unhinged was unveiled. Press secretary Sarah Sanders claimed: “This book is riddled with lies and false accusations”. She added: “It’s sad that a disgruntled former White House employee is trying to profit off these false attacks.”
There will be a Q & A session while Omarosa Manigault Newman is there as well as a book signing.
