A 3-year-oldchild fell off a roller coaster at the Idlewild & Soak Zone amusement park outside of Pittsburgh on Thursday.
The accident occurred around noon in Ligonier, according to WPXI.com, and a medical helicopter was called shortly afterwards to fly the conscious child to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Supervisor Joseph Filoromo told NBC News thatThe Pennsylvania Amusement Ride Safety Division has shut down the coaster and an investigation has been opened. The park continued to run after the accident, according to WTAE.com
