Chinook Centre added a few big names with the addition of Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister Co. and Apple in an expansion announcement Wednesday.
All three new additions are set to open their doors in the Fall 2010, making Chinook Centre the first mall in Alberta to house both clothing stores, and only the second to have an Apple store.
“2010 is going to be an incredible year for Chinook Centre as we celebrate our 50th anniversary and complete the expansion project this fall,” Chinook Centre general manager Terry Napper said in a release.
Abercrombie & Fitch, renowned for casual, classic and trend-right clothing, will open a 7,811 square foot store on the main level of the expansion, while Hollister will open a 7,014 square foot location on the upper level. Hollister Co. offers Southern California-inspired clothing for the laid-back and free-spirited.
With over 200 stores worldwide, Apple will increase its Calgary presence with over 5,000 square feet of new retail space for Apple fans to test-drive and learn more about the latest and greatest Apple products.
The three new store announcements are part of an already ongoing expansion at the city’s largest mall.
