Cops nab alleged molester of 7-year-old Staten Island girl

Cops in New Jersey tracked down the alleged molester of a 7-year-old Staten Island girl when he walked into work on Tuesday.

Police said a coworker of suspect Daniel Nieto called police when the accused assailant walked into the East Brunswick restaurant that employed him.

Earlier this week, Nieto was on the lamb after police said he walked through an unlocked back door into a Staten Island home in Port Richmond early morning on Aug. 6.

Investigators said Nieto walked into the child’s bedroom and sexually assaulted the girl, who the Daily News reported did not inform police or paramedics about the attack after his arrest.

NYPD arrested Nieto and charged him with trespassing, but inadvertently released him one day later without having known about the assault.

Nieto is expected back in Staten Island by Friday after he is extradited, police said.
