Unless you were boycotting this year’s Super Bowl matchup between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams, then you already know that Tom Brady led his team to its sixth championship. The celebrations in Boston are already over, but that doesn’t mean that diehard Pats fans are going to let the naysayers off the hook. Especially Harry Potter and Miracle Workers actor Daniel Radcliffe, who ridiculed Brady and the Pats at the Sundance Film Festival last week.
“[Tom Brady] should stop winning things,” he said when asked about the game in late January. “Take that MAGA hat out of your locker.”

While speaking with Metro ahead of the premiere of his new comedy series Miracle Workers, however, Radcliffe admits that another Patriots’ Super Bowl win was inevitable.
“The inevitability of a Patriots’ win was with all of us, I think,” he says by way of commiseration. “I’m just sorry that it happened in such a very, very sh–ty game. That was the final wound.”
Though he originally hails from London, England, Radcliffe has become a New York sports fan since taking up residence there. He is especially attached to the New York Giants, whose games he frequently attends whenever he’s not working.
So even though his team wasn’t a part of Super Bowl LIII, the actor couldn’t stop himself from watching the big game.

“We had a big group of people over and it was a lot of fun,” he says. “But yeah, there just wasn’t a lot happening. I feel like the halftime show was ultimately the time when most of us were paying any attention to the TV screen.”
Radcliffe’s upcoming comedy series Miracle Workers premieres Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 10:30 p.m. ET on TBS.
