Protesters stood outside Ivanka Trump’s New York apartment on Monday evening in an effort to reach the president-elect’s daughter, considered the “voice of reason,” according to the Halt Action Group. About 200 people had gathered on the corner of Houston St. and Lafayette Ave. in the Village, Bloomburg reporter Deena Shankertweeted.

The Facebookinvitecalls it a “protest in the form of a candlelight vigil to collectively voice the anxieties and concerns of fellow citizens in the wake of the Trump administration’s cabinet appointments and announced/expected plans. “The new Trump administration says wait-and-see, but we’ve seen enough to to know that we are scared of what’s coming on January 20th.”
