The tepid feud between Meek Mill and Drake continues on with Drake releasing a new track called “Back to Back Freestyle.”
The track was released early this morning on Drake’s twitter account.
In Back to Back Freestyle, Drake raps: “You love her then you gotta get a world tour, Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?/ I know that you gotta be a thug for her/ This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more.”
Ouch.
In addition to the tracks’s diss verse there is a slightly more subtle diss in the song’s image.
“The song came accompanied by a photo of Toronto Blue Jay Joe Carter’s series-winning home run in the 1993 World Series,”Pitchforkpoints out. “The team they beat? The Philadelphia Phillies. (Meek is from Philly.)” In case you are just as confused as I am as to why these two grown men are arguing over Twitter. It all started when Meek Mill accused Drak of using a ghostwriter on a track they shared called “R.I.C.O” off Mill’s new album Dreams Worth More than Money.
Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out! ?
