Drake debuts ‘Back to Back Freestyle’ with a Meek Mill diss

The tepid feud between Meek Mill and Drake continues on with Drake releasing a new track called “Back to Back Freestyle.”

The track was released early this morning on Drake’s twitter account.

In Back to Back Freestyle, Drake raps: “You love her then you gotta get a world tour, Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?/ I know that you gotta be a thug for her/ This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more.”

Ouch.

In addition to the tracks’s diss verse there is a slightly more subtle diss in the song’s image.

“The song came accompanied by a photo of Toronto Blue Jay Joe Carter’s series-winning home run in the 1993 World Series,”Pitchforkpoints out. “The team they beat? The Philadelphia Phillies. (Meek is from Philly.)”

In case you are just as confused as I am as to why these two grown men are arguing over Twitter. It all started when Meek Mill accused Drak of using a ghostwriter on a track they shared called “R.I.C.O” off Mill’s new album Dreams Worth More than Money.
