It has become quite the tradition during and after Boston sports parades that one particular athlete takes things to the extreme.

Brad Marchand was “too drunk” to be interviewed for the Bruins’championship DVD because he “went on a tear” after the B’s captured the Cup in 2011. Glen “Big Baby” Davis made the shirtless parade celebrationin vogue when the Celtics won the title in 2008.

Mike Napoli stole from both of those ideas this past weekend, and made them better.Napoli was seen partying furiously at Daisy Buchanan’s on Newbury Street. He was also seen partying furiously at McGreevy’s on Boylston Street just a few hours prior to that. Just a few hours prior to that he was shirtless in Boston’s championship parade/rolling rally.

The highlight of Napoli’s escapades had to have been when he was pictured with a cigarette dangling from his mouth. So taboo for a modern day athlete but the telltale sign of any day/night becoming aggressively drunk for anyone under the age of 40.
