A man in his 70s was critically injured Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn, according to reports.
The victim, who was riding a motorized scooter, was hit by a white car at about 3:45 p.m. on 85th Street and 25th Avenue, CBS New York reported. The man had been riding on the side of the street when the car sideswiped him, according to DNAinfo. The car then drove off, almost hit another pedestrian and ran a red light. After being hit, the victim fell off his scooter, DNAinfo reported, and was bleeding from his head and leg.
He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The NYPD is investigating the incident.
