If you want a night of laughter, drinks and cute dogs by your side, head over to Double Six Studios in Greenpoint on Sept. 10.
The nonprofit Friends with Four Paws will host a comedy fundraiser and Lauren Adams from the Netflix series “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” will preside as master of ceremony. A few of the adoptable dogs will be present at the event and donors will be able to meet them before the show starts. Adams will also provide information about the organization and the dogs in between sets. “I live in Oklahoma and am from New Jersey and I recently got involved with improv and thinking I wish I could find a group that is performing and I should just create an event and do a fundraiser for the rescue,” said Leah Rose, the rescue’s president. The comedic relief and improv will be by the Upright Citizens Brigade. There will also be auction prizes.
