Enjoy the Holiday Train Show minus kids, plus boozy treats on Bar Car Nights

The fun of nostalgia as an adult is getting to experience all the fun parts you remember from childhood with a drink in your hand.

The New York Botanical Garden has you covered with a series of special Bar Car Nights at its annual winter Holiday Train Show. And unlike your parents, who were probably drinking to cope with their adorable but screaming children, you won’t be dodging other people’s family drama – the event is strictly 21 and over. The first drink (beer, wine or cocktail) is even included in your ticket!

Besides the exhibit, there will also be ice sculptors at work, live jazz music, the fire and light show Cirque du Light, and festive treats like spiked cocoa and roasted chestnuts at the Pine Tree Café. Admission is $35 ($25 for members) and provides access to the entire event from 7-10 p.m., though you’ll have to select an entrance time when purchasing your ticket.
