You might laugh when it happens to someone else, but we all know the feeling. You gave it your all, but that artsy cake you were making just didn’t turn out like you wanted. Yep, it’s a Pinterest fail. And now you can watch amateur bakers attempt the same thing head-to-head with professional bakers on Netflix’s Nailed It, basically a baking show for lovers of the meme by the same name.
Call it finding solace knowing you’re not alone or, probably more accurately, schadenfreude, there’s something about Netflix’s Nailed It that’s undeniably delicious. The trailer for the new Netflix original will have you muffling giggles at your desk. Don’t believe us? Check out the trailer for Nailed It a little further down the page.
What to expect from Nailed It, the new Netflix original baking show
Hosted by comedian Nicole Byer and chocolatier Jacques Torres, Nailed It will pit “home bakers with a terrible track record” against professionals as they “take a crack at re-creating edible masterpieces for a $10,000 prize,” according to Netflix. That means you’ll see home bakers try to recreate those trending goodies you see all over Pinterest, like geode frosting and unicorn cakes. Oh boy, what could go wrong?
Basically, if you’ve ever scrolled through nailed it memes or #Pinterestfail, you’ll get to see all the disastrous action as it happens. It’s sort of like Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America meets any baking competition, except these amateurs only get one shot.

Each episode will also feature guest judges that have the honor (?) of giving each successful, or unsuccessful, attempt to nail a recreation of the baked good a taste test. Judging from the trailer, that doesn’t always go according to plan, either.
