Orange is the New Black is one of Netflix’s most-watched original series. The show, created by Jenji Kohan and based on a memoir written by Piper Kerman, premiered in 2013 and has been going strong ever since.
The comedy-drama series focuses on the prisoners of Litchfield, a fictional women’s correctional facility. Orange is the New Black starts with Piper Chapman (played by Taylor Schilling), whose past with a drug dealing ex-girlfriend eventually lands her in prison. The following seasons of Orange is the New Black explore the eccentric characters of the prison and how they adjust to life behind bars. It’s pretty enjoyable for the most part!
So, what channel is Orange is the New Black on?
Orange is the New Black airs on Netflix, where you can stream all five seasons. The series has already been renewed for a sixth and seventh season. The sixth season will premiere on the streaming service, most likely sometime in June 2018.
If you don’t have a subscription to Netflix, don’t fear. There are plenty of other ways to watch the series so long as you have money in your wallet and internet access (but you should probably get Netflix anyway. It’s 2018, man!).
