A boom or explosion sound and shaking near JFK Airport was reported around the region Wednesday, reports said.
According to ABC7, authorities who investigated the noise after reports from Queens and Nassau counties came in found no evidence of an explosion. The noise was reportedly identified by officials as a sonic boom caused by F-22 fighter jets in the area.
