Fox News recently announced that it will launch Fox Nation: A new streaming service created especially for the biggest fans of the Fox News Channel.
On Tuesday, Senior Vice President of Development and Production John Finely said Fox Nation was created and designed to appeal to the Fox News “superfan.” Finely describes the Fox News “superfan” as Fox News viewers who “represent the most loyal audience in cable, if not all television.” Fox News says the new subscriber-based streaming service will provide “a highly specialized content experience on a platform they can watch anytime, anywhere.”
According to Fox News, the new channel will be an over-the-top (OTT) streaming service, meaning it will be subscription-based and available to Fox News fans as a separate service.
Fox Nation content will be separate from regular Fox News offerings, but according to the company, you will see some appearances from personalities and other familiar faces from the Fox News Network.
Fox News says the new streaming service will “take a deep dive into the big issues of the day” by providing subscribers with exclusive daily content and long-form programming. It will also include access to more than 20 years of Fox News archival content and programming. According to a Fox News press release, the exclusive archival content will only be available on the new streaming service and will not be available anywhere else.
