He’s been called the Fabio of horsesand his flowing mane is enough to make any mareswoon. If horses had romance novels, Frederik the Great, the “world’s most handsome horse,” would be on every cover. The award-winning, purebred Friesian stallion will join Rolex Central Park Horse Show on the evenings of Sept. 23 and 24 as part of the multi-day equestrian show at Wollman Rink, the first horse show to take place at the iconic rink. “Frederik has taken the world by storm and helped to shine an international spotlight on the equestrian world, allowing an unprecedented audience to appreciate these Friesian horses,”CEO of International Equestrian Group and founder of Rolex Central Park Horse ShowMarkBellissimosaid. “The Rolex Central Park Horse Show will bring Frederik to New York City to provide a special opportunity to showcase his majesty and beauty, giving New Yorkers and visitors from all over the globe a first-hand experience of this special horse.” Originally from the Netherlands, the 15-year-old dressage horse is now based in the Ozarks of Arkansas.
