Last year, my co-worker wore the most killer Christmas sweater. It was a knit spoof of Kim Kardashian’s #breaktheinternet photo, except Santa’s posterior was poised to catch milk (and cookies) instead of champagne. Beyoncé must have heard the buzzing in the Beyhive, because this holiday season you can slay like ‘yoncé with her holiday collection.
And queens don’t wait until Black Friday to drop new merch. Beyoncé’s holiday collection is out.
The pieces are priced from $35 for a T-shirt to $60 for a pullover hoodie. Queen Bey even has us onesie lovers covered.
Sweaters, sweatshirts and tees are emblazoned with sayings like “Sis the Season” and “Holidayoncé.” The sweater decorated with “Shinin” is adorned with a classic holiday pattern and, oh yeah, there’s a phone cover that reads “Slay Bells.” (Get it?) However, our favorite might be the “Your best revenge is your [wrapping] paper.”
Want to deck your halls? The site is selling Beyoncé ball ornaments for your tree. Grab one of the screen printed items — photo options include Beyoncé celebrating Christmas at home and Beyoncé on the set of her album Lemonade — and it’ll be like the former Destiny’s Child is celebrating with you.
Get in formation and slay.
Queen Bey joins the Lion King
Beyoncé joined the cast of live-action film version of The Lion King along with John Oliver and James Earl Jones. Directed by Jon Favreau, the movie follows the storyline of the 1994 animated film, in which a young lion named Simba grows up on the African savanna after his uncle Scar conspires to usurp his father Mufasa’s place as king.
Jones reprises his role as Mufasa and Beyoncé plays Simba’s childhood friend and love interest Nala.
Beyoncé is the highest paid woman in music.
Beyoncé’s hit album Lemonade and world tour made her the highest-paid woman in music in 2017, according to an annual Forbes list on Monday, edging out Britain’s Adele and pop star Taylor Swift.
The R&B singer earned some $105 million from record sales and from her “Formation” concert tour, according to Forbes. She also has her own Ivy Park fashion line and other business interests.
Because who runs the world? Girls.
