We can’t seem to wrap our minds around the fact that Donald Glover will be featured in the upcoming Spider-Man movie. If we rewind about six years,the 2010 internet campaign #donald4spiderman hasfinally paid off….well six years later. Then again, good thing this was six years ago because now people would associate Donald as Donald Trump, and who knows what kind of spidey powers he would possess. RELATED:Trump banner that caused unease for East Boston’s Latinos replaced by Democrat’s sign Andrew Garfield rolled in great success with his role as the”Amazing Spiderman,” but when Garfield was merely just a candidate for the role, a fan by the name of “Rootadoo” commented on Marc Bernadin’sstory for i09on the white casting process with a proposition. The anonymous Rootadoovolunteered Donald Glover as the perfect actor to playSpider-Man. When the idea hit the Twitterverse, it turned into amovement. Donald Glover, himself got involved and highlighted the root of the issue in his comedy stand-up special “Weirdo” in 2012.
But, the madnessdidn’t stop there. In 2011, Glover launched his rap careerand created the stage name “Childish Gambino,” which could also totally be a rad name for Spiderman’s next arch nemesis. Now, you payin’ attention, pick your f–––n face up. When I wanna be a superhero I just wake up.” Spicy! It’s safe to say that Glover does NOT take rejection well. Well 2017 is looking up for you Mr. Glover, you may not be Spiderman, but you will be standing really close.
