Lena Dunham reportedly took home $3.7 million for her book, “Not That Kind Of Girl,” and now it’s her boyfriend Jack Antonoff’s turn in the literary spotlight. The Bleachers and Fun. singer just inked a deal with Simon & Schuster for his upcoming book, “Record Store,” announced this morning. Related:Does Lena Dunham have any secrets left? The book will pay homage to record stores, which are on the verge of dying out much like the corner video store, and will include essays, interviews and photos. Unlike a traditional book, this one will have more of a scrapbook feel. Related: ‘The Nest’ is spring’s buzziest new novel As you can imagine, being a three-time Grammy winner has put Antonoff in contact with some pretty knowledgeable people — and those he doesn’t already know are pumped to talk with him. Jack Antonoff lands big book deal
“Jack is, quite simply, a creative force,” says Jofie Ferrari-Adler, senior editor at Simon & Schuster, in a press release. “Everything he does has a huge amount of heart, and it doesn’t surprise me that he wants to use his first book to shine a light on these essential places that have shaped so many of our lives.”
The book’s release date has not yet been announced.
