TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso said on Friday that it was important for the Bank of Japan to maintain its current monetary policy framework.
Aso also said he wanted to raise the national sales tax as scheduled in October 2019, to 10 percent from 8 percent now.
He spoke in response to questions from an opposition lawmaker in the lower house of parliament.
