Japanese artists makes life-like creatures with balloons

Japanese artist Masayoshi Matsumoto has managed to elevate the entire meaning of balloon art and taking it to new heights. Matsumoto uses balloons of all sizes to create intricate, detailed animals and plants that will pretty much put the efforts of every birthday clown to shame

“At first, I was taught balloon twisting by my teacher in college. I usually make my balloon figure while refering to the photos of animals or insects,” says Masayoshi, baloon artist from Japan.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect about the Japanese artist’s craft is that the only material he uses are the balloons themselves – so no sticky tape. “The work that has been published on this page is made from all balloon only. (Adhesive, magic pen, seal, etc. are not used at all)”, Matsumoto wrote on his Tumblr page.

By the numbers: 20 – 30

It takes Masayoshi between 20 – 30 balloons to create one figure.
