The NFL’s Career Development Advisory Panel has created its list of candidates for NFL coaching and GM vacancies when jobs become available in 2017 – or sooner.
The two biggest shockers regardingthe list are that University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was included, and that Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was not included. Pro Football Talk reported that these names were on the list. – Jim Harbaugh, Michigan

Harbaugh has returned Michigan football to prominence as he won 10 games in his first year at Ann Arbor and has already won 10 games this season. Just atwo-season stint at his alma mater would be odd, but the 52-year-old Harbaugh is not one to stay in one place too long. He coached the University of San Diego from 2004-06, Stanford from 2007-10 and the 49ersfrom 2011-14. If Harbaugh and the Wolverines goon to win a National Championship this season, expect these NFL rumors to heat up. It would be a bad look for him to bolt the maize and blue without bringing college football’s big prize back to The Big House. As for the omission of McDaniels on this list, it’s most likely that the Advisory Panel believes that the Pats OC is truly being groomed as Bill Belichick’s successor in New England. Or, a few members of that panel hold a grudge against Coach McD. McDaniels ruffled more than a few feathers around the league during his time as head coach of the Broncos (see video above), and there are two members of the Advisory Panel that have had beef with the Pats for years (Charley Casserly and Bill Polian).
