It’s hard to go wrong with donuts and chocolate. It would be terribly difficult to go wrong with Reese’s if peanut allergies didn’t exist. That’s why we’re low key flipping out over the new Krispy Kreme donut, which channels Reese’s candy bars in our favorite breakfast pastry. Take your lunch break now and get to your nearest location, because the Reese’s Outrageous Doughnut is already on sale, but it’s only around for a limited time.
Last year, the fan-favorite for fried dough turned heads and smashed cravings with the Krispy Kreme Reese’s Peanut Butter Doughnut, and they’ve been looking to team up with the beloved candy brand ever since. We think they took it up a notch this time.
For those of you who haven’t yet sunk your teeth into a Reese’s Outrageous, some background. Yes, they live up to their name. No, they’re not just another form of peanut butter and chocolate goodness — although, if they were, we’d be excited about that, too. The appropriately-named candy bar features Reese’s signature peanut butter, a ribbon of gooey caramel and a handful of crunchy Reese’s pieces all cloaked in luscious milk chocolate.

So how did they channel that into the new Krispy Kreme donut? The Reese’s Outrageous Doughnut features a chocolate yeast dough, dipped in Hershey’s chocolate fudge icing, topped with mini Reese’s Pieces and drizzled with Reese’s peanut butter and salted caramel sauce. If you’re not drooling already, what’s wrong with you?
“This is hands down the most outrageous doughnut experience we’ve created!” Mike Tattersfield, Chief Executive Officer of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, gushed in a press release. “The Reese’s Outrageous Doughnut strikes a perfect balance of taste and texture sensations with an airy chocolate doughnut, gooey caramel and peanut butter drizzle, and classic crunch of Reese’s Pieces.”
