Rutgers basketball got a big get on Sunday as Kwe Parker, one of the top basketball players in the nation, committed to the Scarlet Knights.
A shooting guard out of Wesleyan Christian Academy in North Carolina, Parker is a four-star recruit and the No. 90 player in the nation according to Rivals.com. He had offers from Clemson, Florida State, Kansas State and Virginia Tech among other programs. On Sunday afternoon, he tweeted his decision to commit to Rutgers (see above).
He becomes a big piece of head coach Eddie Jordan’s rebuilding of the program, now set to enter its second season in the Big Ten. Last year, Jordan was able to land four-star players Corey Sanders and Deshawn Freeman in what was a very solid recruiting class.
