The spring edition of Boston Calling is just months away and today the organizers behind this season’s festival announced the lineup for their new third stage.
Dorchester-bred comedian Lamont Price will host Saturday and Sunday on stage three, with fellow local acts Ken Reid, Sean Sullivan, Orlando Baxter and Kelly McFarland joining him for inter-set programming. Additionally, area bandsBlack Beach and These Wild Plains will play the third stage Sunday and Lady Pill and Nemes on Saturday. The new smaller scale stage is in addtion to the Red and Blue main stages where rostered music acts will perform. RELATED:Boston Calling releases this May’s day-by-day schedule of performers In a statement for the festival Price says he “can’t think of four better people to slang jokes with on a Memorial Day Weekend,” adding in true tour rider form that he’d also like to be performing artist “Janelle Monae’s hype man and best friend/husband.” Boston Calling returns to City Hall Plaza on May 27-29 with main stage headliners Sia (Friday), Robyn (Saturday) and Disclosure (Sunday).
