Leah Remini is going public about her experience with the Church of Scientology. The former “King of Queens” star’s memoir “Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology” is currently getting the docu-series treatment from A&E, and she’s speaking out against the church’s controversial methods. “People are talking about their experiences of physical abuse, mental abuse. And to be called a liar… to victimize victims is not ok with me,” says the 46-year-old actress and former Scientologist during a Monday appearance on “The TODAY Show.” “[My book is] for the people who have spoken out, but it’s also for people who just maybe don’t have the strength to fight, feel they don’t have a voice. I just want to give people strength and not just with this organization but with any bully.” Scientology sounds like the basis for a really good Hollywood conspiracy flick. But if they’re blackmailing Hollywood into silence, it’s not likely to happen.
