LSU has fired head coach Les Miles, according to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate.
Dellenger tweeted around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, “BREAKING: Multiple sources confirm to The Advocate that #LSU has fired football coach Les Miles and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.
“More news: #LSU D-line coach Ed Orgeron is being offered the position as interim coach for the Tigers. Players meeting at 5 p.m..”
LSU fell to Auburn on Saturday, losing 18-13, and is just 2-2 on the season.
Miles won a National Championship at LSU in 2007 but the program has taken a backseat to Alabama in the SEC since Nick Saban returned to the collegiate ranks. Miles was 141-55 at LSU.
