Who doesn’t love a deal? Nobody. The satisfaction of saving a buck is second only to well, getting something for free. Now that Black Friday is right around the corner— more a season of shopping sales than one blowout day of discounts — you can get items on your wishlist, from laptops to peacoats, for less. We already told you expert-approved Black Friday shopping strategies. Now we’ve rounded up some of the best deals we’ve seen out of the ads posted so far.
Tech
Black Friday is traditionally a great time for deals on tech and electronics, and this year is no different. Amazon has released its ads for Black Friday. If you’re in the market for smart speakers, there’s a great deal on the Echo Dot, going for only $29.99 ($20 discount), or the Echo Plus for $119.99 ($30 discount).
If you’re ready to upgrade your iPhone, beginning Nov. 23, if you purchase a 7, 7 Plus, 8 Plus or X, (activated for AT&T and Verizon) at Walmart you get a $300 gift card. If you still have an iPhone 5 (hey, some of us still do), Walmart is offering the iPhone 6 for $199 (discount $70), if you activate it on the Straight Talk Wireless plan. At Target, you get a $250 gift card with purchase of an iPhone 8 or 8 Plus on select plans.
Time for a new laptop? Visit a Best Buy store between Thanksgiving day at 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. Friday morning to get a Samsung ChromeBook 2GB for just $99. Between Nov. 23 to 25, find a MacBook Air for $800 ($200 off).
Apparel
Clothing and apparel deals are typically better on Cyber Monday, but there is still money to save during Black Friday. From midnight, Wednesday 11/22 through Sunday 11/26, Banana Republic is offering 50 percent off regular priced items., while Old Navy is discounting merch by 50 percent from midnight 11/22 though noon 11/24. In-store only, you can find “$1 holla” cozy socks (limit 10 pair per person), with profits up to 1 million going to the Girls and Boys Clubs. Gilt and Gilt City has a crazy deal of up to 95 percent off select items between 11/23 and 11/25.
Home goods
Time for a new tele? Target has a 32-inch HDTV for only $90, a 53 inch Visio 1080p smart TV for $198 at Walmart, and Dell has a 50-inch Vizio 4K smart UHD TV for $500. On Amazon, find up to 40 percent off select mattresses, furniture and rugs. From Nov. 23 to Nov. 26, World Market has all furniture marked down to 40 percent off. If you’re in need of holiday cooking wares, from 2 p.m. Thanksgiving day through Friday, JC Penney has select in-stores deals on kitchen goods and small appliances (prices vary).
