Masturbation. Let’s get comfortable saying it. Masturbation. And guys, women have our Satisfyer suckers and magic wands with attachments resembling the Muppet Gonzo’s nose (Le Wand… lifechanger!), so we get it. You want sex toys for men. Your hand is not always enough and spicing things up with a tube sock doesn’t really cut it.
Metro hit the Sex Expo in Brooklyn (formerly known as SHE, Sexual Health Expo) and learned a few tricks and treats we’d like to share with you. We met Dr. Chris Donaghue, doctor of Clinical Sexology and Human Sexuality and TENGA brand ambassador, who showed us some of his favorite sex toys for men.

First, let’s talk about masturbation and why it’s awesome.
Dr. Chris, a Certified Sex Therapist and Licensed Clinical Therapist, explained to us in an email:
“As a sex therapist, I often recommend patients use sex toys as a way to enhance couples’ sex play, but more importantly to increase sexual and body esteem via masturbation. The act of purchasing and owning a sex toy is a sign of significance and importance, especially with the positive outcomes associated with masturbation as shown with the results of TENGA’s 2017 United States of Masturbation survey, which showed that those who masturbate at least 4 times per week:
• Go to the doctor less often due to illness
• Have higher body confidence
• Are more likely to be employed
• Have triple the number of orgasms than average people
And, always remember that newness and novelty are what keep sex fun, so capitalize on a variety of sex toys to help keep arousal high.”
Sounds like some pretty good reasons to explore our sexuality!
So, what sex toys for men are out there?
There are a few items that Dr. Chris says he recommends to his patients or suggests for “homework.” You can check out some of his faves in the gallery above!
