Lil Wayne tweets premature reaction to Lamar Odom’s death

When news broke about Lamar Odom being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, plenty of famous folks started sending best wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery. Except for Lil Wayne, that is. The rapper — who may have just misheard what was going on — jumped straight into mourning the loss of the retired NBA player and former Kardashian-adjacent reality star. Earlier today, while Kourtney Kardashian and Kobe Bryant were rushing to Odom’s bedside, Weezytweeted, “R.I.P. LO. Damn man.My blessings to ur fam and friends.”

An embarrassing gaffe, to be sure. Except that Wayne isn’t really one for embarrassment. In fact, he tweeted a follow-up, simply stating, “Woop,” which seemed to acknowledge the mistake, but he didn’t take the original tweet down.

Unless — and hear me out on this own — Lil Wayne actually knows something we don’t. Maybe he’s secretly from the future. It would explain so much!
