Long Island babysitter charged with stalking 4-year-old

Suffolk County police have charged a babysitter who was fired from her position with stalking the child she used to watch.

Ronkonkoma resident Casey Evans, 29, was fired in November 2015 after four months working as a babysitter for a 4-year-old Sayville boy, Suffolk police reported.

Authorities have now arrested Evans on charges that she attempted to sign out the boy from school on March 30 and then illegally entered the family’s home later that day in an effort to leave a gift for the child, authorities stated.

Evans was charged with fourth-degree stalking and second-degree trespassing, police added. She was arraigned in Central Islip.
