A new poll shows that a majority of Americans are worried about going into a major war during the next four years of Trump’s presidency.
The NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll found that36 percent are very worried about the country becoming engaged in amajor war in the next four years. Thirtypercent are somewhat worried, while 25 percentare not too worried, and 8 percent are not at all worried. Along party lines,88 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaners are worried, whileabout 4 in 10 of their GOP counterparts are worried about a major war. Sixty percent say they are not worried.
The poll also asked Americans about several international issues facing the Trump administration, finding that the majority of the country favors compromises with allies and NATO membership. Other questions were on America’s relations with Russia. To see more results of the poll, visit here.
